State-of-the-Art i-CAT 3D Cone Beam Scan

i-CAT 3D Cone Beam Scan Our practice is one of a selected few dental implant centers with an in-house 3D cone beam scanner. After this non-invasive, 20 second scan we can accurately examine the bone structure in your jaws. This allows us to precisely diagnose the bone quality and density for placing dental implants. In addition we get a clear view of the inside areas of the bone to see and avoid nerves and determine sinus locations. With all of this diagnostic information, we can then use our specialized dental implant planning software to virtually plan the type and number of implants that is best for your case. These technologies can also be used to facilitate construction of a unique guiding template for placing your implants in the correct positions. Computer guided systems contribute to our ability to provide you with excellent success rates, enhanced predictability, and even less invasive surgery.

Immediate Function Procedures

Immediate Function Dental Implant ProceduresWith the advanced technology of our 3D scanning and implant planning technologies also come opportunities to design your implant restoration on the computer, before the implant placement is scheduled. In some cases, we can deliver the restoration on the same day the implants are placed this is often referred to as "immediate function". Whether one tooth, many teeth, or all of the teeth are missing, immediate function patients can in many cases receive their replacement teeth immediately after the dental implants are placed. This means treatment can be completed in much less time. After a consultation with Dr. Lizano we will be able to determine the suitability of immediate function for your specific conditions.

Advanced Dental Implant Designs

Advanced Dental Implant DesignsThere are hundreds of designs of dental implants that are manufactured for supporting your replacement teeth. Many substantial differences exist in the quality and design of the implant. Some implants will perform better in some situations, but not others. Some implants have been approved by the American Dental Association, and some have not. Some have approval, but only in certain situations, and not others. Dental Implant Advanced Technology

It takes an experienced implantologist, who fully understands how to restore as well as place dental implants, to evaluate all available options and discuss with you what is best for your situation.

In our practice we will use only the highest quality implants available. We use several of the very best implant systems and we use them in the situations where they will perform optimally. In our practice we do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach. Each patient we see has unique requirements and we individualize our treatment plans to meet their specific needs. With a consultation with Dr. Lizano you will be able to discuss your concerns and learn about your best options.

Sedation Dentistry

Many patients who would like to have teeth replaced with dental implants may have anxiety about the procedure and concern about being comfortable during the surgery. We understand and appreciate that it is natural to feel that way. Dr. Lizano and his staff can help. Although sedation is certainly not required for a comfortable experience with most procedures, many patients choose to have their procedures done with sedation anesthesia. Commonly, patients who have had sedation later describe their feelings during surgery as surprisingly pleasant, without a care in the world, and sense that treatment occurred over a greatly shortened time frame.

Sedation anesthesia provides a more relaxing and anxiety-free experience. Or office uses intravenous and other techniques to safely provide a level of sedation where dental implant procedures can be done easily in our comfortable, in-office surgical suite. Dr. Lizano has undergone extensive training during his residency in sedation anesthesia, as well as in general anesthesia. he also serves as an on-site examiner for the Dental Board of California for the evaluation of dentists who wish to become licensed or maintain their licenses to provide this type of anesthesia. In addition, Dr. Lizano is on staff at John Muir Hospital and Aspen Surgery Center where full general anesthesia servers can be provided to patients who are having more significant procedures, or who prefer general anesthesia.

Before, during and after surgery, Dr. Lizano and his staff truly share your concern for your well being. They also have the training, knowledge, and experience to make your visit as pleasant and comfortable as it possibly can be.
